Once they are in your hand most of the more handleable species are pretty chill to be fair. I love their little paws! 😊

She is a Lasiodora parahybana. One of the largest species of tarantula in the world, and still growing.

With the molt you can see the difference in colour really well too. She was a dull, sandy sort of brown. Now she is dark chocolate! 🥰 17cm (6,7 inches)

I am strangely enough unfomfortable around any dead insects or bugs, when I was a child I was terrified of them! Always loved the live ones though. 😁 It always makes me very happy to hear that people safely relocate spiders instead of killing them. ❤️

Abbil, my L. parahybana surprised me with a molt today! Normaly when they are at this size molting takes up to 24 hours, but this must have gone really smoothly because I never noticed until I came home from work today! Look at this beauty! 🥰 At the top left you can see a wee foot to show what...

    My lovely yellow goldens.

I was honestly so delighted when Dandelion was "allowed" to come and perch in my arm today, I thought I was going to cry. 😅 I know I might be overly invested and that it might seem silly but they really are proper pets. I enjoy them either way of course, but I feel a lot of pride in the trust.

Now just to wait for those feathers to come...

They will also be getting some younger sisters this summer! I rehomed one of my pheasant girls and in return a got a pick of some chicks for the new owners to bring on before introducing them to our wee flock. We're expecting a hamburg, one orpington and two standard silkies to join us later on...

My thought exactly! :) I'm also not too interested in shipping and selling. If someone wants to give them a go to hatch they can have some... though only one of the hens is laying now, and I think she's almost done too. I find the duck eggs almost a little bit too rich to eat boiled but I'd...

Not at all as creamy as duck, more like quail but more of it, if that makes sense? :) They are lovely to be honest.

Pheasant egg next to chicken egg. 🙂 I know I must have cut the chicken egg a bit wonky, but the yolk to white ratio in the pheasant eggs are impressive!

I mean... they're a lot more fancy than corgis.. Just saying. It could happen.
