So, i have this RIR cockerel who is pretty submissive to me, but every so often get gets pretty... annoyed? I don't exactly know what's going through his mind but sometimes when i'm especially close and he's thinking about being naughty, or he's just been disciplined he makes this whining...
I wish i had helpful advice on integration, but i don't (yet). Other than that, don't bother with the apple cider vinegar, birds can't smell anything.
Good luck!
It's pictures like that that make me sad i'm so allergic to rabbits. They're SOOO Cute!!
I don't know if i'd mess too much with them, if the momma gets too stressed she could abandon them or eat them (though that she hasn't done it yet is a good sign), my parents used to raise rabbits and they...
I'm in Phx too, we started out with 10 pullets laying three weeks ago and were getting 8-10 eggs a day. Since then my RIR has gotten sick, and though i nursed her back to health, i'm not sure if she's laying again. We also lost both of our gold stars this week, one vanished and the other died of...
I completely believe in ghosts, and i can go from composed to terrified in 3.4 seconds at the mere mention of ghosts. I'm also afraid of the dark, for that matter.
That being said, i think someone is fibbing to you about there not being anyone in the house, that's got to be one of the girls...

I agree with all the other posters, but i'm also with you on the "not bargaining" thing. I NEVER try to barter with people, but on top of never making a deal i'm always selling my things for less than i was asking. Bah.

...I think as a society we need to re-learn how to respect our food, and where it comes from.. I think we need to get back to a place that allows us to understand that "dominion over animals" isn't a free pass to act like monsters.
There was something else i wanted to say, but it's late *yawn*

LMAO! I'm SO jealous of people who can leave in the summer! My parent's are in Belize right now on some island getting sunburned and snorkeling. Brats. Then they're going to Maine for a week and i'm stuck here, double bagging dead birds for the freezer until i can get rid of them...
I...
...the water twice a day, mist their favorite shade tree, give them cool fruit, and the poor things are still miserable. I guess some breeds just handle it better than others. *sigh* I actually considered bringing the whole flock inside.
This time of year REALLY makes me miss my hometown in Nor...

hahaha! I have a really funny story about peacocks locked in a state park bathroom.
To the OP: I believe that to be a Blue India peacock. It looks like you can see a bit of his primary feathers, which look (from this picture) to be a more orangy color, indicating that it's probably a...
