    Just put the thing on your coop like it is. If it opens too late you can adjust the door to open early. If that fails you can try the remote sensor.

    I purchased one from them one year ago and had no problems. I hope it works out. can you jump the switch with a small piece of wire to see if the motor kicks on? Are you trying to use the photo sensor? is it stuck open or closed?
