    If this is the first time mabey they were excited for a treat. I would check for eggs often. Don't set them on the ground of course. Did she lay in her nesting box? Hopefully it was just a one time thing.

    I kept my 6 , 9mo old bird in for a few weeks with a light for heat. Light are off and they have been out for a few days now, but they aren't going in at dark . And they aren't jumping up on the roosting bar? What should I do? Anyone have any ideas?

    I have been doing the warm mash thing in this cold weather. Does anyone know if barley or cream of wheat is good for chickens. I couldn't find it on the treat list?

    1 keep a tuna fish can of grit and one of oyster shell nailed to the wall . For the girls if they want some. With the ground here frozen the are eating more grit.

    I do the same we collect shells from hard boiled eggs in a cup on the sink crush them by hand. With this cold weather I have been throwing them in with there warm mash. What could be better than there own shells!
