Small lump on my pullet's face

Update: I'm pretty sure she's laying by now, she's 26 weeks. I haven't separated her to be completely sure though. Anyway her bump is still there, but hasn't gotten bigger. Some of my other chickens have slightly puffy faces, no obvious bumps/bubbles under skin but noticeable. I'll try to...

150$ for a hand knit sweater?! That's so generous of you. I finished the green knit sweater, and I didn't even count the hours, but took me 10+ days at 1-4 hours every day to finish! I underestimate the amount of time It takes to hand knit something. I haven't even blocked it yet. I would charge...

    Partridge chicks from buffs?

Hi! I know it's been almost a year since you posted this, but I just happened to have a buff silkie hen and a white silkie rooster and they had a baby that looks exactly like yours. (Also every time I open BYC it brings me to this post for some reason, must be fate LOL) I'm wondering how that...

Yeah, I really have no idea why my tension got so much tighter. Maybe I was trying to crochet loose at the beginning of the back panel... No idea. I think what I'll do is like you said, rip out the front, and maybe redo the last 20 or so rows of the back. Thanks!

    Help with breed identification

The yellow and black one looks like some kind of mottled breed, maybe an exchequer leghorn or an Ancona. The black one is most likely a barred Plymouth rock, and the last chick looks like a New Hampshire or Rhode Island red. It could also be a red production breed.

Anyone know how to deal with this? This is the Breton Stripe Moss stitch Sweater by For the Frills. Basically the back panel (completed one on the bottom) is the one I made first. This project was started 1 month or so ago. I chipped away at it while working on other projects. And when I...

I'm so sorry about your cockerel. What was his name? I'm glad most of them are okay and doing well. But whatttt?! You got 13 females out of 19 chicks? My flabbers are gasted, lol.

I'm cro-knitting my cast off because it was getting frustrating with a non hooked needle 😅

Their little rooster feathers 🥹 The frostbite really hit them hard but it's so relieving to see them heal and grow. Her little "Afro" is still the same! Lol

I just ran out of a ball of white yarn (I have more but still) 4 stitches before a color change... :he I made like 18 whole rows with this ball but it just decides to run out right before I can switch back to green!

15 week 6 day update! Beth is still tiny, and I think she's even smaller than her mom was at her age. And it's definitely a she as she has no comb development! Woohoo! the twins: cupcake is growing a lot of rooster feathers and Muffin is slowly but surely catching up. These 2 especially...

Those look INCREDIBLE! How long did those take? I'm 6+ hours into my project and am like 1/3 of the way through the yoke of the sweater. I would be halfway done if this was a crochet sweater, but I LOVE how it looks so far.
