    Very light colored yolks

    I have a Rhode Island Red who has begun to lay very light colored yolks ( a month or so at this point.). The other hen ( a americana) lays normal colored yolks. Both get same food, same coop , no rooster etc. Any explanations. Thanks. Drew

    Coop Maintenance

    I have a coop that has heavy duty chicken wire on the sides and floor. The coop is raised above group about 8 inches and I have oil pans underneath to catch the poop. I am thinking of putting plywood on the bottom of the coop so I can put shavings or straw. I was thinking this might be...
