I was gone for about 4 days and some fertile eggs sat under a broody hen. (son was afraid to reach under her! )
Do you think these are still edible or would the chick have started developing?
Thanks,
Dana
Good morning!
One of my girls went broody about 4 days ago and she wouldn't let me NEAR her or her 10 or so infertile eggs. So today I look outside and she is out there, so i sprinted to the next box to retrieve the eggs to find one broke and the yolk is all over the rest of the eggs.

Good Morning!
Happy days here! I have 18 eggs that are due today but 5 hatched yesterday afternoon at 5:00pm central.
Should I leave them in there and wait for the others or take them out?
Thanks!
Dana!!!
Good Morning!
I have a bantam americauna roo and a standard easter egger hen. Is it possible for him to fertilize her eggs and if so, what would the hatch likely bring?
Thanks!
Dana
I have a year and a half old hen who has been broody for several weeks. I don't have fertile eggs. For the past week or so I have noticed her comb is turning black. First on the tips, and now all the way down. Is this normal?
Thanks,
Dana

Good Morning and Happy Easter!
I need opinions on putting my 7 week old chicks out in the coop. They have really outgrown their brooder.
They are fully feathered.
Any opinions from someone in my zone?
Thanks,
Dana
Well, My hens have decided to RELETLESSLY pick on my sweet silkie boy. I guess it would be in his best interest to rehome him. He is the sweetest little guy. I think he was hatched around July-08. I have tried to re-introduce him to the girls a few times, and all of a sudden they just are so...
My poor Silkie Boy was beat up by my hens yesterday. They picked out almost if not half of his head feathers. I have him separated now, but he cant stay that way definetly. Do I have to rehome him?
I am so mad at those girls!!!!
This chick was born with most of it's membrane stuck to it. After it dried and it's wings were stuck, I decided to help it out and gave it a wrm bath and got all the membrane off, minus what was on it's head. I was afraid of drowning it. Now it cant open it's eyes, the rest of it fluffed out...
