well they finally hatched
Hinkjc (hihi jody and charlie) put some buff orpingtons in the incubator for me and i go wens to pick them up

i tried to get my marguerite to go broody......but not this time so i got a heat lamp to brood them

this weekend is the start of the 'close to the house' pen so violet doesn't fall and break a hip out back

i got two old dog excersize pens
one is taller then the other 42" and 36" respectively
i arranged the pens so that they are about 8 feet long and 4 feet wide
with the higher side to the back of...
hi everyone,
i have to move my bird up close to the house for the winter.
our summer pen/coop is too far away from the house for me to haul water.
last winter i fell in a bad snow storm and had a hard time getting up....the terrain is pretty rough as we live on the side of a mountain.
no one...
i called the local extention office no luck
i have called butchers and meat markets
and poultry processors
no one seems to want to do 3 ducks and two chickens
does anyone know anyone in northeast pa or northern nj who is willing to process three drakes and two chickens?
