I have seven guineas that are around 6-8 weeks old. They are featherd out well, eating great and doing the guinea thing. So I started letting them out to free range through the day and they go up at night. Two days ago I noticed that one is walking around with its wings almost dragging the...
I've had a coon killing my ducks and eating my eggs for a few days now. I finally got him tonight in a trap. He seemed a little jumpy so I helped him go too sleep. He has been my nemesis for a while. I think he may have a friend, so I'm off too try my luck a gain. Choosey trapers choose Jiff...
I have(had) some Cambell ducks and the other morning one was missing, no feathers, no mess-just gone. Two days later again and then again tonight. I think it's an owl. I can't pen them up at night because a few monthes ago they started braking their eggs when pennned. I just wish I knew what...
It has taken me three days, but I have figured out that my goat has been breaking into my coop and cleaning up the feed. Most likely not more than say two cups or so, but I thought I had heard that it can hurt them-anybody know for sure? It's layer feed.
I'm hoping someone can help me in a hurry! My wife went into pre-term labor last week with our son and I was unable to get to the feed store to pick up my normal dairy feed for a couple of days so I used alfalfa pellets for a couple of days, twice a day at milking times. She likes alfalfa...
So I have two BCM roos who's combs seem to be getting worse. I thought at firest that it was just from frost bite back when it was cold, but it seems to look worse, or at least getting worse. They eat, drink and do their rooster things all normal. Any ideas?
my doe gave birth, I assuming either last night or early this morning. When I found the kid it was dead. My question is her colostrum. It is the consistancy of glue. Is this normal? I've contacted the vet-but I have not heard back. Anyone ever encounter this?
I have a Red Dorking roo, a red hen and a silver hen. They are about seven monthes old now. I am located near Memphis, TN in N. Mississippi. Sorry no shipping. I'd be happy to send pics on request. OBO.
I tested some eggs in my incubator with my mixed flock. My chicks look diffrent from the first batch. I am trying to figure out the whole sex-link thing. The ones that I am questioning are the following hens chicks; black sex-link, austr and silver-laced wyandotte. The only roo is a RIR(more...
I think I might need to thin out a bit. I have three hens and a roo. They are mottled and about six monthes old. Should be laying soon. I am in N. MS about 20 mins from Memphis. Make me an offer. Sorry no shipping on them.
This is my first bator bunch! I started with 30 eggs-so far I'm at 17 hatched with several more cracking. I got 100 in the mail from Welp this morning too-I've lost my mind.
