Hi-
I have a Leahy Favorite 624 cabinet incubator that needs refinishing and am looking for someone who can tell me what to refinish it with. Also if anyone knows where to find parts. I want to do this right. I found some old threads but it seems like those people aren't on here anymore...
I have a 6 mo old turkey that came from the animal shelter in with my flock of 8 chickens and 1 crested duck. This is not a question about whether or not they should be together (I'm not worried about blackhead currently, and everyone is tested and free of diseases/keep up on parasites) but if...
Hi-
I am looking to get just one (that's right, only one) female Easter Egger/Ameracauna for my flock, and would like to know if someone in the L.A. area is willing to add one on to their hatchery order for me. I would pay for the chick and part of shipping.
Thanks!
Hi-
I lurk mostly on the forum, but I just vaccinated today and have leftover Marek's and fowl pox vaccines if anyone can use it.
They will expire tomorrow at 1 p.m. I live in Pomona (Los Angeles area) and they are free to whomever would like to come and get them. I hate to see them go to waste.
My 2 year-old Ameracauna hen was(is) egg bound. I went to the vet today and he gave her a shot of oxytocin. It did not seem like the egg was going to move (it was in a really weird spot). I put a glove on a few minutes ago and tried to feel the egg (it could not be palpated before) and it had...
Hoping that someone can give me a good idea of what to do. 3 year old blue cochin hen is lethargic, not really eating well (but some), spends most of the time sitting in a corner.
Her vent area is a bit messy, and her comb is a much darker red than usual (it seems). I did a fecal yesterday...
My 1.5 year old Cochin hen stopped laying about a week or so ago. Her comb is pale and her vent area is a little messy, and she doesn't seem interested in food. I wormed her last week. Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong? Thanks in advance.
I have a 1.5 year-old blue Cochin that has quit laying, comb is pale, and has lost a lot of weight (she is at 4.9 # right now). I took her to the only vet who I could find that would look at her, and they are basically clueless. She has basically quit eating (her feed anyway-she ate a cicada...
I have a 6-month old pair of Seramas that need a good home. Pick up only (sorry! It's too hot to ship).
I would like to trade for them if possible. I'm pretty open (no more birds, though...lol).
I would like : shade plants, monkey grass, ferns, etc.
Or, make me an offer. I will consider...
I have an Ameracauna pullet, about 10 or 12 weeks old, that has a messed-up foot and so it gets picked on a bit. It doesn't seem to have adjusted to the flock (it's been about 3 weeks). Anyway, I just went to check on them, and she is fluffed up a bit, and she seems cold and weak. Her crop...
I have just one Serama that hatched out yesterday from one of four eggs that I collected from my birds. He/She appears to have a little difficulty swallowing, and when I was holding him it appears that he has a full crop. That can't be right, he hasn't even started to eat yet. So upon further...

This is a group of three Seramas (one C class roo, one C class hen, one B class roo) that I have to part with because of space constraints. They are healthy, the hen is laying, and the eggs are fertile. If shipped buyer will pay for shipping charges and the cost of the box (I have to buy one)...

Has anyone ever had a chick hatch without absorbing the yolk and survive? I had one hatch today, it is still kicking, but it is still dragging the yolk sac around. Is there anything that I can or should do? Any helpful ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have 2 ducklings, one with a slightly deformed leg. Need a predator-free home. I have attached a picture of handi-duck's leg. Please PM with any questions. The ducks are free to a good home, but if need shipped would need $ for shipping. Thanks!
Hi-
I am in need of 8 Cochin chicks (any color, but must be just one color for all 8), and 8 RIR chicks. Prefer pick-up, but ok with shipping, too. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Up for auction, 2 Black Copper Marans hens. They hatched in August 2009, so they are 7 months old. They have nice feathered shanks and are Wade Jeane/Channing Grisham lines. Lay very dark eggs. I have a picture of one of the eggs in with Ameracauna, Silkie, and Cochin eggs for comparison...
