I have a small flock of only 4 birds. Only one of them is laying, which is the Plymouth rock. The other three, two buff orpingtons and one columbian rock are not. Anybody have something similar like this ever happen to them? These chickens are all about 20+weeks old. Are they missing something...
Hello everyone, I have a slight dilemma. My chickens are not laying in their egg crates and I only find 1 egg a day with 4 birds. Which ever chicken is laying, prefers not to lay in the egg crates, but rather on the floor.
Every day I look outside at my coop, more and more of these little birds are stealing from my chickens food. About a week ago, there was maybe one or two, and now there is at least twenty or more. It is like all of these free loaders are saying to the other birds hey come on down it's a buffet...
Some time in the last two days, one of my chickens laid an egg for the first time. What is the period of time that I can safely eat that egg? (unrefrigerated eggs)
I am having a great deal integrating my new columbian rock chicken with my two buffs and plymouth rock. They are just a little bit bigger than the columbian rock, but they are doing alot of chasing. What can I do in this situation?
My chickens are buff orpingtons and one plymouth rock. They are all about 16 weeks old. One of the chickens has bigger legs and the rooster features. How can I be sure he or she is a rooster or not? This one chicken is much larger than the others. Could someone give me advice on this one?
Hello everyone, I am trying to get rid of my buff orpington rooster. I live in chicopee, mass and I can not have one, just chickens.
