    1 chicken dead, another sick!

    So I woke up this morning and found one of my chickens dead (just under a year old-already been laying for a couple months). This afternoon I checked on the chickens again and found my red rock X looking sick. Lazy not running away from me like she usually does, wasn't eating or drinking...

    Has anybody ever raised meat birds? What are the best kind. We don't really 'broil' chickens so is there any kind specifically for Roasting? Is there anything you specifically need to do to the meat birds that you don't do to the egg birds (Other than feed). What have your experiences been...
