Eugenia the 9 week old silkie was playing outside after the rain and decided to roll around in some mud. I had no choice but to give her a bath, and she wasn't too happy about it. She's angry at me right now, but I hope she'll get over it Here she is right after her bath, drying off.

My 8 week old buff orpington has a very small grayish tick next to her eye. I don't know how to take it off without injuring her eye. What should I do? Should I put my dog's frontline? Thank you.
My dad, brother and I are in the process of building our very first chicken coop for our adorable five chicks. They are six weeks old now, and really need to move into the yard. What should we name the coop? It is going to be green, and is a cute little cube. Also, the poops and coops thing is...
My week-old silkie chick has watery poop. I noticed it about 4 hours ago. She doesn't have pasty butt or anything, she seems fine, but her poop is just watery. is this normal?
Here is my baby Olive, a Salmon Faverolles pullet. Or so I thought. I noticed a small comb even though Olive is only around 5 days old, and her wing feathers are taking a much longer time to come in than my other baby's. Also, her wings are blackish, not salmon.
Is Olive a girl or a boy?
My babies are here! Well, they actually came on Wednesday, but they've been such a handful that I didn't have a chance to take that many pictures until now! I have 5- Puffer the blue Cochin, Goldie Locks the buff Orpington, Olive the Salmon Faverolles, Eugenia the white Silkie, and Emu the black...
Hello everyone :) My 5 chicks are supposed to ship tomorrow and get to me around tuesday or wednesday. I think I have everything...except for a chick waterer. The tractor supply store didn't have it for some reason, so my dad ordered it on Amazon. I don't know when it will get here, and I don't...
I have recently ordered 5 baby chicks, without it even occurring to me that they may not be legal. Well, they are not legal, and they are coming in April. My dad said to just forget about it, and that no one will find out, but we don't even have a fence! I don't know what to do, and I'm really...
I'm going to be getting a Salmon Faverolles in the spring, and I'm wondering if she will be noisy? I really can't have a noisy chicken where I live, but a lot of people say that they are noisy :( Are they? Thanks :hugs
What is the safest way to heat a chicken coop? I don't have chickens yet, but I was just wondering for next year.
Would a microwaveable heating pad even heat the coop at all? I was thinking about using that, but it might not even change the coop temp. Have any of you tried this, and if so did...
I just ordered 5 chicks on My Pet chicken, and I don't really know what to expect. The breeds that I'm getting are One Salmon Faverolle, one Buff Orpington, one Blue Cochin, and two Silkies. They're coming the week of April 15, so I have a lot of time, but I want to be prepared when they come...
