    Meal Worm Colony to Supplement my flocks Diet...

    I am going to be starting a meal worm colony to supplement my flock's diet. I have a 15 gallon aquarium with a screened lid. I have 25lbs of Wheat Bran and plan to order my worms on Monday. How many worms do I need to start my colony? My flock is 5 hens who are in need of more protein and calcium.

    Floor in coop/run? (Pic of my desert coop)

    My run is open to the ground, should I cover the dirt with something, straw, sand? Also what should I put in the coop? It has a wood floor.

    Coop and Run size?

    Hi, We are building our coop and run and I want to make sure it is big enough. We are thinking for the coop to be 4'x4' with 2' under for shade. And the run to be 4'wide x 8'long x 6'high. We are thinking to have 6 hens total. What does everyone think?
