I got two chicks from my daughter - her first grade class hatched and my grandsons wanted me to raise and add them to my flock of seven. My first fall/winter/spring has gone so well with my girls. Definitely cannot keep any roosters, and not sure about integrating with flock unless they are both...
Finally we got snow in the northern woods- in a big way!
My girls will not even come out of the coop - I would like to prepare a hot treat for them - any ideas? Cook up their cracked corn?

Just added a thicker roost per someone's suggestions here - seems like when I was researching specs on building my coop, I never came across a recommendation for width of the roost...
