I have some broilers for sale, they are the red ranger variety. They have been fed a 100% organic diet. If you want them live to process yourself they are 11$, if you want them processed they are 13$. I will be processing them this weekend. I am in north west Surprise.
For those that like to separate your cuts like the breast, thigh, or anything else. Do you wait until after the 2-3 day cooling period sets in and rigor comes and goes or do you do it right away after processing?
I read so many threads of people saving a hen and rooster from the broiler order in an attempt to breed them and it usually doesn't happen or they get very poor results. I was just wondering how the hatcheries are able to do it in such high numbers. Is artificial insemination a viable means?
