    nest box question

    I am building a chicken tractor for a couple of my banties to give to my mom. The nest box is about 2'x3'. Do I need to seperate it into a couple different nesting areas, or should I just put in the straw and let them make there own nests.

    Walk in shower as brooder??

    Just curious what everyone thought of this idea. I am mostly wondering about ventilation. It is a larger 2 person walk in shower. There is a little changing area right outside of the shower. I want to hang a sheet to enclose the walk in area so that dust doesn't get into the rest of that area...

    Icelandic chicken breeders?

    Does anyone know of any Icelandic chicken breeders? I found the Behl farm and one other. Does anyone know if any Icelandic chickens have been brought into the US besides the original 11? I would like to get some, as they are so rare and we have Icelandic sheep, horses and dogs.

    Chicken wire in bottom of tractor?

    I was just wondering if some people put chicken wire on the bottom of the chicken tractor and just let the chickens eat the grass/bugs through the wire. Otherwise, how do you keep animals from digging under the walls? Or do you just have to pen them up in the enclosed part every night? Thanks
