A co worker of mine has a hen that is still eating and drinking and seams to be very good.But her back end is wet and is dripping like water her vent is red and looks swollen.The back ends has a like milky watery stuff on the feathers.She is 24wks old .

My newer hens are almost 18 weeks and was so shocked to find a small egg tonight.It was soft shelled but still and egg to me..lol.Guess I'll change the food in the morning.Now that the girl are ladies now..lol
I'm so excited. My broody did a good job.We had our first one hatch today and two more to go.I didn't think I was going to have any chicks cause I didn't hear any peeps yesterday or this morning.I can home from work and there it was,so cute!I sure hope Mom and babies are OK with the other...
I dusted the coop and cleaned it well used Red Lake Earth(diatomaceous earth)a few days agoand still havw mites.How long does it take to get rid of them.What else can I do.
I think I might have red mites.And I was wondering how much RLE should I put in the coop and nesting boxes.One of my hens is sitting right now and in two weeks the chicks should be here.What should I do?
