It's chirping and wiggling. Pipped about 27 hrs ago. This is my first time incubating eggs. Is all this blood normal?
Sorry for the graphic picture :( I just want to help this little gal (or guy)!
I received this cutie this morning from Murray McMurray Hatchery......out of sixteen chicks, one was dead and one (this one pictured) can't stand up. She walks on her knees. She is eating great and drinking. The toes are curled up and crooked. Can I splint the toes? Should I do the legs? What is...
I set 14 eggs in my bator this morning at 5:30!!! I'm SUPER nervous! I ordered 9 Lavender Orphington eggs and 5 Olive Egger eggs and I let them settle a few days. This is my first hatch ever! I always buy babies. I would appreciate all advice about incubating!!
Thanks!
Dana
I have ordered some new chicks, to be delivered. One thing I'm a little confused about is when I look at photos of Columbian Wyandottes (which I ordered) they look very simular to Light Sussex. What is the differance? Or are they the same? Thanks in advance!

I became the owner of four RIR pullets five days ago. My girls won't come out of the coop to grass feed. They will walk around for maybe five minutes then go back in the coop. They are sleeping on the roost at night but laying in their nesting boxes MOST of the day. I was told they will start...
