    CHRONIC STRINGY BUMBLEFOOT

I have been dealing with chronic stringy bumblefoot in my duccle. She has had it since June and I haven't been able to get rid of It 100%. I've done probably around 30 surgeries trying to get rid of it and it's not working. Someone suggested I give and injection in the foot. Does anyone have...

    Two air sacs?

It's day 21 and I was candling one of my eggs today and I noticed an egg that looked like it had 2 air sacs. The regular one, and another slightly darker, rougher edged one on the other end. Does this mean the chick is dead?

    Failed bumblefoot surgery

Ok, so I did bumblefoot surgery on my bird and I don't think I got all the infection out. The infection was stringy and not solid. Will it solidify over time? Should I try the surgery again?

    Safeguard for Bantams

3 1/2 weeks ago I wormed my 3 bantams with wazine and wanted to follow up with a stronger wormer. So I bought some safeguard liquid goat wormer but I'm not sure what the dose for a bantam is. I think it's 1/2 cc for standards so would it be 1/4 for bantams?

    Gape Worm? (Worming help)

I noticed probably in February that my D'Uccle had was wheezing a bit and had her mouth open a lot and I gave her a .25 cc of Tylan 50 for five days to clear it up. A few days later my OEGB got it too and I treated her the same. The medicine completely healed the OEGB but my D'uccle still has...

    Cleaning Poopy Butts

My chicken has some poop caked around her vent from when she had the squirts. Now as most chicken owners know, dried chicken poop turns into concrete and you have to use a jackhammer to break it up. It also takes on a semi waterproof quality. We really should consider using it to pave roads...

    Crowing Hen?

Yes I know for a fact she is a hen. I have watched her lay eggs. Yes I know for a fact she has started crowing. Not a lot. But when she is really upset I have watched her do several legitimate crows. Complete with proper neck movements and everything. And no she wasn't yawning while a...

    Gape worm or respiratory infection?

I noticed today that one of my chickens seemed to be having a hard time breathing. I picked her up and heard her wheezing. Now, she isn't gasping constantly, just when I pick her up or when she starts moving around a lot. I tried looking down her throat to see if I saw any worms but as far as...

Should I panic over a runny slightly bloody poo?

Today I found this poop on my porch. I have three bannies that have fowl pox and they have been getting a 1/4 cc of Tylan for 4 days. Should I be worried about this? They are all acting relatively healthy and this is the first poop I have seen like this.

    Nasally Bantams and Green poo

I have three little Bantams that have both wet and dry fowl pox. The the smaller OEGB has had the worst of it so far but is acting herself now. I have noticed that she sounds sort of raspy/nasally and mucus comes out of her nose when she sneezes. Is there anyway I can help relieve some of...

    Fowl Pox side effects?

Hello everyone! I'm a novice chicken owner and I need a little advice from some of you experienced chicken owners. I have three little bantam hens(My 4H project) that are currently fighting off dry fowl pox. One of them has already gotten the worst of it and another is just starting to...
