Its not going back into place by the ole "slide your finger down the back of the leg". It's stuck on the side of the knee because I didn't notice it for a couple of days. Surgery is the only option now. Anybody have any success or sugesstions?
I have a chick (6 weeks) that has a slipped tendon. I have tried to pop it back into place with my thumbs, however the attempts have been unsucessful.
As I see it, I am left with 2 options, cull the bird, or attempt to open the skin, move the tendon back to the proper location, and stitch it...
Had a hen very out of it just laying in the yard this morning. I walk up to her and she doesnt move. I pick her take her to water doesnt drink. I sit her down and she walks slowly behind a bush. I come back out an hour later and she is dead in the middle of the yards. Didnt notice anything...
Have a baby chick at first I thought had splay leg but it may be more? Thoughts?

See pictures below. I have an elevated coop requiring a board to climb to enter and once inside my nest boxes have walls. So obviously the baby chicks will be trapped in the hen box. Should I build a hen box ground level inside the run under the coop for the broodies and their babies?
This is my first time hatching eggs... We are about 19 days in. I have candled the eggs a few times and everything looks good.
When they hatch do I need to remove them from the flock? The nest box is elevated in a house so I assume I need to move them where the can get to ground and food? Other...
