I was wondering why only 4-6 hens were laying...lol. The other ladies had a hidden nest they were laying in :o!! there are nearly 20ish there. I don't know how long they've been there but a Welly has her bushy butt planted on then. No fertile eggs. These probably aren't fit for the fam to eat...

Today I adopted a rooster. He is 14 weeks old and his head just bobbles and wobbles all around. The bobble started at 2weeks old. He was vaxxed at 2 days old. Could this be a side effect from the vax? It sounds like what they actually vaxxed for AEV. After 12 weeks of bobble...could he infect...

sitting in the nest for 2hrs ??

I find it crazy that I started getting EEer eggs before my sexlinks started to lay, considering the sexlinks are bright red and the EEers are not. Anyway, I thought maybe theyvwere laying somewhere else and was concerned I would never find their eggs, the roam around all day. Well I have a...

They are not of laying age yet but all 15 of them pile into the nesting boxes to sleep. How do I get them to roost so they aren't sleeping and pooping where they lay?

backyard free runners, much clean up?

We have a large fenced in area that is not being used on our land. Thinking of building it up so they cant fly out and use as a run. Its the size of a pretty big urban back yard. I know people with short runs either have to rake or make it a tractor and move frequently. Anyway, I was curious...
