These are chicks from a buff polish hen and are a few days old. There was an EE, white silkie and black silkie roo in with the hen. No fuzzy feet or extra toes. Anyone want to guess who the babies daddy is? Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Hello everyone. Decided to build an incubator and give hatching a try. A friend gave me some EE and game fowl eggs. I have a couple of questions.
Should my probe for my thermostat be reading the temp inside of my water weasel or air temp in the bator? Seems inside the eeasel would give a better...
Hello everyone. I have 7 7 week old chicks. Theyre all hens as far as I can tell. I was wanting to start letting them out in the evenings to get them used to free ranging. I was wondering if free ranging is ok without a roo.
My carnivorous plants have had a long, rough winter and are just beginning to wake up. I hope in the next couple of weeks i'll have some nice growth on these. Right now the sarracenias/pitcher plants are putting up flower buds/flowers and the venus flytraps are putting up new traps.

Ive learned so much in the last 2 weeks about chickens and BYC has been my main source of info. So much activity and helpful posts. I'm on a lot of forums and this one, by far, is the most informative.
Hello everyone. I mainly want to keep my chicks as pets. Sure, I'll probably collect eggs but no KFC for them here(my daughter doesnt eat meat and would skin me before she'd let me eat her birds lol). I was wondering a couple things. How long will they live and what's the best way to extend...
Do they act different? I have one chick Thats a bully and the rest are calm. The "bully" even pecks me when I get close. Could it be a rooster or can hens have aggressive personalities too? Thanks!
