    New to Quail...have some questions.

I have a small coop about 5'x2' how many quail can I house comfortable in that amount of space? Also the bottom of it does not have wire, it's a wooden bottom that has shavings in it at the moment. Is wire really necessary? I had used it as a brooder for chicks. What protocol should I follow to...

    Silkie pair?

Also what color would they be considered? One hen looks black but the roo(?) is a darker grey colored? Someone was giving them away because the other chickens were picking on them pretty badly(all his other chickens were triple in size compared to these two). They also appear to be molting. Guy...

    Brahmas?

Bought these two as brahmas but um.....they don't really look like pure or good quality brahmas to me. Is it just because they are skinny or are they crossbred with something else entirely? They are 8 months old.

    Isbar pullet?

Got this pretty little thing a couple days ago. Hoping for pullet but I'm not sure....comb is looking bigger in comparison to the Isbar/Dorking crosses I got with this one. I'm not sure if that is because this guy is a cockerel or if it's a breed thing. Oh well, hoping you wonderful guys and...

Haha, I don't know how else to describe the little guys other than they are little round balls. I don't know if they are just badly bred birds or if there is something wrong with them. There are three like the following picture. They almost look like they don't have a butt! It also seems like...

    First time incubator...humidity question!!!

I just got my hovabator 2362N a few days ago. Set it up with consistent temps of 99.5. We went to a local livestock auction and picked up 3 dozen mixed eggs and set them up in the incubator last night. The temp has stayed consistent but I'm having an issue with the humidity. It was at a solid...
