hello,
It looks like a gray color, I have black chicks and it is much lighter than the blacks. Would you call this blue? I know its still to young to know what color it will turn out to be when its an adult. But I love this color!
I have black, white, and splash hens.
thank you!

Hello,
I wanted to buy lavender orpington chicks this summer. Looking for 10 hens and a roo. Please email or pm me if you have any information. I would prefer to pick up locally within 100 mile radius if possible.
thank you
janie
I have 2 houdan roosters to give away, I hatched them from eggs this past summer, anyone close to Berkeley springs that would want to come and pick them up.
PS, they are crazy birds, the wont stay in the fence and they run from people but so far they are not mean.

I've read so many post on the best brown egg layers,my head is spinning! Ok I have 4 yr old golden comets, they are great birds but they stopped laying this winter. Im looking for chickens that lay lots of large brown eggs, maybe not a hybrid this time. I want them to be calm and friendly and...
My 15 ee's came with a free bird. This ones comb is different and more red than the others. Do you think it may be a roo? I don't want to give away a hen. The last picture is one of the others the same color but should be the hen.
I love these little ones so much! I hatched them from BYC eggs. Are they frizzles or sizzles? Any idea what the sex could be? They are only 3 weeks old.
Also my only silkie that lived from another hatch and idea of color and sex?
This little one has the best personality but does not have...
ok, I have a few eggs that arrived mostly broken. I figured the rest were scrambled but put them in the bator anyway. I counted wrong and forgot to lockdown! This is day 20 and they are frizzles. I took them out of the turner put them in lockdown about 20 minutes ago. I already have 2 pips...
Wow, I wasn't really expecting a lot with my shipped silkie eggs but......I have 2 pips! And its just day 19. I went into lock down yesterday. I'm a little worried because the pips are both on the side, not where I saw the air cell. Is that normal? I hatched last year and had great results...
I just need a rough idea what to be looking for as far as materials. I found a coop design from an ebay member. She was gracious enough to send me photos. This is perfect because I can add to them as needed. So for starters, I will start with one bungalow.
I think these are 4'x4'. I may need to...
My little girls are being mother hen to the new baby silkies! Everytime I go in the room they go with me! They want to lick the babies so I am very careful not to let them get too close!
I was really worried about having chicks shipped all the way from Crackle hatchery in Mo. I live in WV. Especially little tiny silkies! The post office handled me the box and said they were kind of quiet compared to others they had gotten in. I drove all the way home scared and excited to open...
Ok, my eggs came this am, they go in tonight, I ran to town to pick up my egg turner and a temp/hygrometer, its wireless so I can watch the display where ever I am in the house, also stuck another digital one in the window of the bator, The humidity was too high so I poured most of the water...
I'm so excited, the po called me and i ran to town, bad hair and all to get my eggs. I drove home like I had a glass of red wine sitting on my seat! Now they are resting until the go in the bator tonight.
