    ⠀ Where to find wheat middlings ?

    I'm trying to figure out if I can find wheat middlings locally since shipping and handling isn't cheap now days . I need it for mealworm substrate. Does anybody know of anything in stores I might find . Wheat middling is best to use so I won't have a problem with grain mites again .

    Should I open nesting boxes?

    5 of my hens are 4 months old , they are 2 production reds and 3 black australorps. I have 2 buff orpingtons that are 18 weeks old. So what my question is should I open the nesting boxes? Nobody has layed yet but 1 of my australorps has a very red comb and wattles.

    Is it safe to build coop out of treated fence boards ?

    I have dog-eared pressure treated fence boards left over from building a 6 ft fence and I was thinking about using them to build my chicken coop. Would that be safe for us and the chickens?
