One of my 5 week old chicks has an extreme case of scissor beak and she is not thriving like her flock mates. She has a difficult time eating and drinking and isn't feathering out at the same rate. What are some humane ways to cull her besides the obvious of taking her to a vet?
Today was my hatch day for the chicks I ordered from MyPetChicken.com. Well, at lunch I get a call that 3 out of the 5 breeds I had selected under-hatched. Bummer - but I understand. So the lovely customer service rep I spoke with was so helpful and we got my replacement selections squared away...
I'm looking into getting an incubator, preferably for under $100. Any recommendations? Any brands to avoid? I don't need anything huge - under 10 eggs would be just fine. And I'd rather stay away from the DIY route, too many variables to mess up.
