    7 day old TSC chicks. Striving very well and only had to clean pasty butt 7 time the first 4 days. We are all ecited. A little nervous that I might have 1 or 2 Roo's. 1st time having chickens. Love n it so far..

    poo hanging from butt

    Got my chicks from TSC yesterday and all seem pretty active this morning. But i notice that a couple look like they have poo hanging from there behind (it wasn't there yesterday), should i clean it with a warm damp cloth or ??? You can see it on the one on the right.

    chick brooder

    Can i use my newly built coop as the brooder and if so, should i block off the nests so they don't poop in them? I have a heat lamp and it is in my heated garage until spring.

    finally joined

    New in Verona Beach NY. Just about finished building my 1st coop. Can't wait until the chicks arrive.
