Does anyone know what kind of pond plants that won't be eaten by ducks? We're in the process of finishing our 6" x 9" pond, but I've read ducks eat a lot of pond plants? I have a bad feeling that 'pond time' is going to have to be limited during the day, seeing how fast they muck up their... -
When do ducklings start sounding different?
Hi all, my 2 ducklings are about 4 weeks old I think, they are half feathered, and one is starting to sound different. My one ducky still 'cheep cheeps', but the other little guy is now stRting to quack but it's a low quack, almost like a frog's ribbit....I didn't think their voices changed... -

Ok without a shelter for a few days?
My 2 ducks are now about 3 weeks old, and the low is now around 80 degrees at night - currently the ducklings are in their 10'x15' pen during the day, but in their brooder indoors at night. Are they alright to stay outside now without a roofed shelter at night for a couple days until we get... -
What breeds are my new duckies??
About a week ago I purchased these 2 cuties which I was told were about a week old, so in these pictures they are now 2 weeks old. Can anyone tell what breed they might be? My thoery is the black one (Daffy) might be Cayuga, and the other (Daisy)maybe Khaki Campbell? My daughters love these...
