I am looking to get a couple of geese, 1 goose and 1 gander to start with, I have been looking through this forum, but if you all could answer some questions for me it would be really good.
Can geese live happily with chickens.
If they free range during the day, are they easy to get back to...
Just thought I would ask if anyone else has had anything like this.
I have 40 production reds. I use 3 one gallon waterers. One has a green base, one has a blue base (they are the same type) and one a slighly different type has a red base.
I check the waterers several times during the day...
I am only keeping layer chicks, when the laying decreases to a point where it is not viable to keep them for egg production, are they good for culling for meat.

My girls free range all day. Today a tarantula came from under the car the chicken swooped pulled its legs off shook it and down it went, I am talking about a full grown tarantula.

I have some milk replacer left over from bottle feeding a goat, can this be mixed up and fed to the chicks.
Also the small pieces of hay which goats don't/won't eat can that be fed to chicks.
All in addition to their normal food and not in replace of it.
Hi, we are thinking about getting geese, know very little about them. Here in Belize, we will not have a choice of breeds, will be "just Geese".

My chicks are about 9 weeks old now and they share a pen with goats.
The goats like banana leaves, but don't get very much, because the chicks just go wild and tear them to pieces. I have not seen them get so enthusiastic about anything other than worms.
