    Anybody out there with a closed flock? I "rescued" a lovely white bantam cochin for a deceased neighbors estate. Good thing I quarantined - she's mycoplasma positive. Anyway, my flock is clean so I'd like to find her a nice home where she can live as a pet. Willing to drive some. I'm in upstate NY.

    "White" Araucana mix?

    I received 10 Araucana chicks from the hatchery today. My experience is that the females have chipmunk stripes and the males are two toned. I wasn't sure about this "white" one. Upon closer inspection, I see it does have chipmunk stripes. They're just very pale. Anybody else see this before...

    I must be crazy

    I ordered 18 female and 15 male chicks and got a free mystery chick this April. One was DOA, one died mysteriously at 5 weeks and one seems to have gone missing. It turn out that the free chick is an Araucana mix. Nice bird. I have them in a chicken ark. Fun times. These guys are a riot. Poop...
