    Hiccups or strange sound

My 3 year old Orpington has had constant hiccups or something like a hiccup for a month. She appears normal except for this constant sound. Any ideas?

    Lost my 1st hen

im so sad! This morning my favorite hen, a blue Orpington that was only 1 year old died. When I went to the coop early this morning, she was under the roosting bars still alive. Last night she appeared normal. She was listless this morning, so I gave her a little water with an eye dropper and...

    New hen

A fox got into our neighbors coop and killed all chickens except 1. They asked me to take her. Any suggestions for adding just 1 hen to my flock of 13 hens? Thank you!!

    Broody hen

I have a broody Orpington and put 6 fertile eggs under her. She was so loyal sitting on eggs, but when one hatched she attacked it. I grabbed the chick and other eggs and are going to raise them myself. Is this common? I was so upset she reacted this way!

    Broody hens

I have 6 orpingtons that are 1 year old. As soon as one gets over being broody, another one starts. Is this normal? I've tried putting them in a cage and it doesn't seem to help. Just wondering what I can do this to make it stop. Thanks!
