I have a sweet hen who lost feathers probably a year ago and they still have yet to grow back. Can anyone tell me what they think this is from and what can I do to encourage growth. Winter is coming and I don't want her to suffer.

Has anyone ever put baby chicks under a broody hen? I’ve hatched fertile eggs with my broody Orpington, but this time I’m thinking of putting baby chicks from the feed store under her. Any tips? TIA!
I just happened to pick up my Lavender Orpington today and noticed that she was missing lots of feathers on her belly. My other 3 hens are fine and not missing any feathers. She’s still eating and drinking just fine.

My Lavender Orpington has hatched out 5 fertile eggs that a friend gave to me from her chickens. Two hatched on Monday, two hatched on Tuesday and the last one hatched out today. What are the chances of grafting on a couple more chicks from the feed store to her tomorrow?
