We had 4 eggs under our broody hen and only one hatched. We were hoping for at least 2 so they could enjoy each others company in the brooder. Will it be harder to introduce a chic to the flock after it's been in the brooder by itself for several weeks?
My rooster was give to me by a coworker. He's a lavender americauna. He's a little over a year old and he just started growing feathers on his feet. Is this normal for that breed or do y'all think he's mixed. I'll try to post a picture of him.
