One of my hens has the bumpy calcium deposits on her eggs. While I've read this is normal from time to time, she has it on every egg. And so much now that there are calcium deposits inside the egg which makes it really gritty and not tasty to eat. I started them on oyster shells about 2 weeks...
I've recently lost 2 hens to Hawks. (At least I'm guess that since there is no sign of struggle or intruders otherwise) if I put bird netting up over top with some red ties on it so they won't fly in, is that a decent solution ? Also, now I am down to one lonely 10 month old hen. I read I should...
