So, I have researched all over trying to find the answer I'm looking for, but it is a kind of confusing scenario. I have an 8 month old RIR named Dexter and have had him since he was 3 days old. I also have one Buff Orpington pullet named Boo that is almost 6 months old and hatched her...
So, here's a little back story: Dexter, my eldest, about 13 wks old hasn't had it easy. She was hatched with another chick and they were best friends. The chick sadly was snagged by a hawk. Got another chick a few weeks later and Dexter acted like a mother to it..sadly it had the same fate about...
It's been 24+ hours since internal pip. It is not moving at all or making a sound. I'm scared it's dead but don't know how long I should wait until I intervene. Thanks!
Hi everyone! So I started 3 eggs 7 days ago in my mini chickbator incubator and I'm wondering if the growth of this chick looks healthy during candling. There aren't pronounced veins like day 4... Does it look okay? Thank you so much in advance!
