    3 out of 4? TSC bantams 7wks

I *think* we got three pullets out of four straight run assorted bantams at TSC. I know seven weeks is early, and I’ve definitely been wrong before 😅 Guesses? Thoughts?

    Brand new bantam ID

We got these 4 adorable tiny bantam fluffs from the bin today at TSC. Any early guesses on what type they are? Thanks!

6mo old EE, not crowing yet. Is he a he?

I’m still holding out hope this is somehow a hen 😅 6 months old. Not one attempt at all to crow that I’ve heard. My other roosters had always at least started practicing by now. Neighbors have roosters so he can hear them. I’m guessing just a slow to mature boy. Thoughts? Previous posts have...

Are these Black Minorcas possibly BCM??

Says Black Minorca on the label, but these chicks have feathered legs. What do you think they are? Do some Minorca’s have feathered legs?

    Unlabeled TSC chicks. Breed?

These are at my local TSC, came to them labeled only as pullets, no breed. Any idea what they are? Barred Rock maybe? Or?

Easter Egger cockerel *special needs* Texas

11 week old Easter Egger cockerel looking for a safe home. He is the sweetest and very tame. His name is Mshai, which is of Egyptian origin meaning ‘wanderer’ but he would much rather be nearby or on you if given the chance! His beak doesn’t align properly, it’s not crossed, there is a gap...

Unaligned beak and white on comb.

10 week old TSC EE, his beak has always been like this. He does well eating from a deep dish but has trouble when trying to eat a mealworm or anything else off a flat surface. Just these past two days his comb has been starting to turn white. Could this be a nutrient deficiency? Or? His weight...

    Hen aggressive towards people

Our hen, Comet, has taken on the role of a rooster, she even tries to crow. (Been laying eggs for 6+ months) I know she is a breed that is often aggressive, but she’s been getting even more so. I’m not sure if it’s the time of year. She’s just over a year old. 98% of the time she is sweet...

    9wk old EE’s

I’ve posted before, but they are older now 🐥🐥🐥🐥 9wk old TSC Easter Eggers from the pullet bin. We are aware of #4’s beak issue, it doesn’t line up but s/he can eat fine from a deep dish. Thanks!

    More EE’s to sex!

TSC Easter Eggers from the pullet bin. Only 5 weeks old so too soon to know for sure, but I keep hearing about rows of peas and gender specific feathering so wondering if anyone has thoughts on these four. TIA!

I’m impatient lol 4 wk EE

We got four TSC Easter Eggers, three are feathering out with very similar and uniform markings, and this one is patchy. I keep hearing that could mean roo, but does it always? I’ll keep him/her either way, but am aware that favorites often turn out to be cockerels lol so I’m preparing myself.

I just have to show these cheeks to the world

Our local TSC gets their chick shipments each Wednesday, and I had my heart set on Easter Eggers, but I work, so we kept missing them, they would always be sold out before 5pm. So I took last Wednesday off work 😅 and made it my mission to find them! We drove to three TSCs last Wednesday, in...

    Foot/leg amputation? Needing suggestions.

Hi all, my little Willow is growing up quickly and it’s hard watching her struggle so much to walk. She’s now been to two separate vets and they both suggested something different. One thinks amputation of the foot/lower part of the leg would significantly make her quality of life better as the...

Lavender A. with leg issue, update and X-ray

Willow was seen by a vet and had X-rays taken. No fractures, and vet thinks it’s nerve damage. She prescribed Meloxicam and told me to secure/tape her leg into the normal position to help her walk. She gets around well, both with and without the wrap, and her appetite is great, poops look good...

Guessing Comet’s sex/breed week by week

Comet was found all alone the day s/he hatched, there are feral/loose hens around my town so s/he is a mystery chick 🔮 Comet’s friendliness/personality reminds me much more of my roo chicks in the past, but we will see! S/he will be five weeks old in a few days and I’ll take new photos then ☺️

    Older chick with splay leg

Willow has an appointment at the vet tomorrow at 8am for an exam. I wanted to hear peoples stories of chicks learning to adapt to the use of just one leg in case the X-rays show this one is not treatable. I have many years experience with pigeons and doves with leg issues, with one-legged and...

    Type of comb? Breed?

Any guesses on what type of comb he will have? The thought on my last post is that he’s a New Hampshire Red. The chicks I’ve seen of those seem to have a different looking comb at this age, maybe the growth is just slow? He (or she) is only three weeks old today. Thanks :)

    Single rescue chick

This little chick was brought to me on March 1st, I’m guessing he hatched the day before. There are a lot of loose hens around town that don’t belong to anyone and many of them have chicks now. This chick was found alone, and since I do pigeon and dove rescue, they brought him to me. It was...

    Babysitting chicks, what breed?

I'm babysitting these chicks for a few days, my friend was told by the feedstore they were both black copper marans. Obviously one is not black, she has beautiful lavender/grey colored feathers. The other one is mostly black so far, just has some solid white feathers on his wings. I'm guessing...

What breed are these hens and this roo?

Hen #1 Golden laced wyandotte maybe? Green and yellow legs. Hen #2 Dominique? Hen #3 Black with some rust color on throat, blue legs. Black sex link with just very little red maybe? Hen #4 (on left) EE? Can they have a single comb? Puffy cheeks, blue feet. Hen #5 (on right) Buff...
