    RIR roo with white shanks!?!

    I picked up some RIR roos with the idea of using a couple of them for this years breeding. Two have yellow shanks and two have shite shanks, are the white shanked roos production reds, or would anyone have some ideas? I am weeding out any with crooked toes or any other physical abnormality...

    Buff orp w/ yellow shanks

    Hey, Question for ya... I brought home a new rooster yesterday, a buff orp , looking at him this morniong, I realized he may not be an orp, he has yellow shanks....then again, maybe I am wrong, I thought they all had white shanks?!?!? Any enlightenment would be apppreciated!

    bug spurs

    we have a RI rooster with spurs almost an inch and a quarter long, can they be trimmed and how short? Some of the hens seem to be really roughed up, bare skinned on their backs.......... thanks
