I purchased some hatching eggs from someone local and they were supposed to be Olive Eggers. I just pulled them out of the incubator and noticed one has 5 toes on each foot, but no feathers. I messaged the person I got them from and they said there's a chance a silkie roo could have bred some of...
Does anyone know how long the elector is good for once you reconstitute it? I have some that's a couple weeks old and can't find my concentrate, just wondering if it'll work. Thanks!
I'm having a breakout of either mites or lice. I keep hearing so many good things about the elector psp, but I can't find any for less than $150. Is this normal? If so is there something else you'd recommend. We've had chickens for 6 years and this is first run in with them!
Hi, just wanted to see what everyone thinks. I think I have a pullet and a cockerel, but these are also my first silkies. I think silkie #1 is a pullet and #2 is a cockerel. They are 5 months old.
First 2 pictures are silkie #1 and the second 2 are silkie #2
Thanks!
My friend bought 3 of these as French Copper Marans. But I'm wondering if they are Cuckoo or even barred rock. Does anyone have an idea? I have read that marans don't always have feathered legs.
Hi everyone, I have 3 partridge Brahma Chicks that are about 11 weeks old. They all have hardly any feathers on their backs and vent areas. The pullet isn't as bad off as the cockerels. This had been an issue since they were first getting their adult feathers. This is my first time raising...
Hi all,
I have 2 Buff Bantam Cochin that are about 10 weeks old. Any guesses on if I have cockerels or pullets? First two are Mango and the second 2 are Papaya
Thanks
I got these 3 from tractor supply in the "assorted bantams" bin.
The solid white one is super tiny! Unfeathered feet.
The white with black saddle and black and yellow both have feathered feet
Hi everyone, my name is Brandi and I'm from Savannah, GA. My mom and I are very new to owning chickens and got our first pullets in January. We got ours from my mom's friend and started off with 4. 3 were a mix of a black ameraucana mom and the 2 dads were barred rock and Rhode island red. Our...
Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and to having chickens. We got our chickens in late January from a family friend (Angie) who has tons of chickens! Originally, we were only going to have 3. We got to Angie's house and we told her we were looking at getting 3. She said she had 3 pullets for us...
