I used to have 10 chickens but 7 turned out to be roosters so i only have 3 now. They are almost 4 months old now. I want to get some more chickens but i didn't want to deal with chicks in the brooder. Can i get adult hens or do i need the same age as them.

My leghorn rooster just wont crow. He is 3 months old at the moment. Does this have anything to with it? Is it because of the breed he is making it longer for him to crow? My other roosters crowed and are the same age. but none of them were leghorns so is he just not crowing because his breed...
