    hens are very docile when on the roost at night

    When I go out every night to check on my chickens, they are all very docile when they are sitting on the roost. Normally I cant go right up and pet each and every one of them, but when they sit on their roost they don't seem to mind. Are all chickens this silly?

    Coop Construction nearing completion

    All the major work is done, framing, siding, roofing! Now for the detail work, hanging the door, screening over the windows, building nest boxes, painting, etc Should be a fun weekend of work!

    I have fuzzy feet! But what am I? My best guess is some sort of cochin, but I didnt order any cochins from MyPetChicken Can chickens other than cochins have fuzzy feet like this? I thought this one was gonna be a silver laced wyandotte, but she looks nothing like that

    so looking at Ideal and McMurray's websites, you can only order straight run bantam chicks.
