    I have a Mille Fleur d’Uccle and OEGB and it turns out their offspring are sex linked. I suspected this for a while but now it is absolutely confirmed. White/light chick = cockerel. Brown/dark chick = pullet Hooray!

    What should I deworm this 1.5 year old OEGB with? Valbazen? He weighs no more than 2 pounds. Free range. No external parasites seen. There is no local vet that sees chickens.

    Sebright mother

    I woke up today to Silvia and 7 chicks that emerged from their shells. The fathers could be OEGB BB red, Silver Duckwing, or Golden Sebright. Other moms could be Golden Sebright or OEGB BB red. Will be interesting to see how they do as a mother hen.

    Hen not putting weight on leg.

    Brahma pullet or cockerel?

    I was under the impression that this birdie is a pullet but just heard them crowing. Now looking closely, it does seem to me that the feathers might be characteristic of a cockerel. I have no experience with Brahmas so thought I’d ask what y’all think.

    White spots on rooster’s comb
