Hi all. I've been hatching eggs for years. but this month I set down 12 Posted from ebay Australia eggs from Giant Brahma Chickens. At the day 16 candle, I only removed 4 eggs. All the rest are still showing activity.
I have on loan my neighbor's Borotto incubator. Seems like a dream compared...
Recently lost a lot of Chickens and Rooster pets due to a fox attack. I have 3 eggs in the incubator. 2 of them are from two of my chickens that are gone. I think I know who one mum was. But the other one I am hoping against hope is from a chicken that I hand-reared years ago. she was a...
So we've had 4/4 eggs successfully hatch. The very last one seemed to have a lot of difficultymaking the final steps in hatching. It pipped about 36 hours ago, it unzipped extremely slowly over night, the took a very long time to push with its leggs the eggs apart.
Just moments ago it broke...

What age can Duck hatchlings be taken home, and what differences in care would duck hatchlings...
Im a first time incubator-upperer. lol. (thats a joke son!) and I think I first saw/noticed movement on day 6 while candling. They were oscilating pretty quickly, maybe 3 to 4 'jiggles' Per Second. ("Jiggles" for lack of a better word to describe the movement I was oberserving). One in...
My Wife and I are avid AnimalLovers with a special love and focus for Birds and Dogs. We have lots of hobbies, but Birds are #1.
So we have had a few Chooks (Chooks are an Australian Nick name for Chickens) at a time. Usually about 4 Chooks over the years. We never had too many because we don't...
