    Duck egg air cells

    My pekin eggs are 3-4 days away from hatching. Took a look at them this morning and 3 out of 4 look like the one pictured? Did they already break into their air cell? Can see movement within the space so they are all doing well. Haven't hatched ducks before these are my first.

    Calibrating a incubator hydrometer?

    The built in one. Can it be done? Assuming the heater is disconnected for the hours while it reads during calibration.

    Thermometer/hydrometer

    Any one use this type? I have just the hydrometer of this brand and it is spot on when calibrated. But decides to order the 2 in one of it. Would I be able to calibrate the thermometer on it since the hydrometer is attached?

    First chick on the way!

    So excited! First hatch had 32 eggs, 3 were early quitters and left 6, with the rest not devloping.. First chick externally pipped! They are all EE crosses. Not sure what their momma was or is as my rooster only likes certain hens. The mommas are Orpingtons, black star and golden sex link.

    Got my incubator

    Got my incubator and set it up at 4pm yesterday. Factory set at 100.00°f. Put 2 different thermometers in it.
