Egg color?

My rooster is a Easter egger and my hens are brown egg layers. What color eggs will their off spring lay? I was thinking green shade? I might be wrong.

Depends. The roo might not carry blue or green egg gene. I have ees who lay brown.

Will have to wait and see. The first chicks are 2 months now. Got 2 pullets to lay eggs out of that batch

I heard that my ees are weird, cause the one with muffs and a beard har rir color, a regular single comb, and yellow legs. The other one has no muffs, is gold color without the neck patterns, blue legs, and a pea comb. So yours will probably lay green.

There is no green egg gene. Green eggs are caused by a combination of brown egg genes and the blue egg gene.

With him id say shades of green.
May get some brown but I have a hunch he carries two genes for blue eggs.
