One of my two female geese has started laying, for the first time with me. I'm having to remove the eggs as she lays them because our dog Tara is an accomplished egg hunter! Will this distress her or prevent her from continuing to lay?

I got 2 rescue hens from Barbara at the 'Nuthouse Hen Rescue' also known as 'Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue' in Moira. They were to keep my other hen company after losing her companions. They were rescued from a free range egg farm and were saved from slaughter at only 18 months!

I have 2 gorgeous geese left Bella & Betsy, having recently lost Lancelot the gander. Betsy has recently developed a bare patch on her chest and I assume she has been plucking out her feathers. I know some birds do that to line their nests etc but is this normal for geese? I don't know if either...
