    Flies!!

    This year the flies are really bad!! Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep them down in the coop and run? I clean it regularly and have fly traps. But the flies are still in the hundreds in there everyday. (I also have fly traps on the outside and around the house)

    Shell less eggs

    I have a young brown leghorn hen who laid her first egg yesterday and it was shell less. Is this normal for young hens or some breeds? They all get layer feed and oyster shells. Plus they free range all day. All of them are healthy and happy. I just want to make sure I’m doing what I can.
