If you're like me dusk is a scary time to be a chicken keeper, dusk is predator time the time they attack. So my little sister's prized rooster wasn't in the coop, neither was our Crevecoeur! Our Crevecoeur hasn't been returning to the coop so we weren't worried. We found the Crevecoeur right...
So in the spring I think WE ARE GETTING GOATS!!! I am working on a pasture/browsing area for the future goats. I know that goats prefer browsing to grazing so I want to make their "pasture" interesting! I'm gonna make a thread about my plans soon, but for now I just need help with grass stuff. I...

Is the average thorough bred horse strong enough to be used the same way a draft horse is ment to be used? Pulling carts, plowing fields? That kinda stuff.
Hello, my name is Azure I have 15 chickens 1 dog and 1 cat, I am getting ducklings in the spring! I am currently planting grass seed (even though it's gonna frost Saturday night) because I want goats! I live on a 2.4 acre lot in Western Massachusetts, most of my land is a swamp/wetland mix.
I did something really stupid, I planted grass seed in October! I planted it on Saturday Sunday and today! It says it's gonna frost this upcoming Saturday in my area🤦♀️. Is there anything I can do to save the seeds lives? It it useless?
If I feed goats a feed ment for both goats and sheep ( no copper in it ) would it be ok to give them free choice copper of some sort? If so what is your recommendation for what kind of copper? Solid or liquid?
I am extremely interested in getting some goats next year and am wondering what are some cheaper things that serve the same purpose as hay? They will of course have hay too🙂.
Today I met some very nice draft horses and they were very gentle and sweet, is that normal? Are most draft horses sweet? How tall are they on average? Can you ride them? What in your option is the best breed of draft horse? (Pictures would be nice)🐴Oh and what halter size do they usually need...
On my property we have two barns, one in the front and by the road and one in the back with not much grazing space. Didn't people used to keep most of there animals in one barn? Would it work to keep goats and poultry in one barn? The poultry would have a place the goats couldn't get to for...
