    Wry Neck? Nutriant deficiency?

Hi all, I have a pullet who is around the 10 month mark now. Just today she started backing up, lowering her head and turning it from side to side. I know it may be a symptom of Mareks or a nutririant deficiency. She dosen't seem to have a injury. As she is a Araucana X, she has a crest. I will...

Bumble foot taking 8 months to nearly eradicate

I discovered this one day after Christmas. Turned out that all three of our chickens had it. We have since cured three feet with two feet (on the same chicken) going away on it's own. We now have only one foot left to cure. It has been a very long journey to get to this point. I have made sure...

How would you go about breeding a mottled naked neck?

Hi all, I'm wondering how would you breed naked necks using primary colours such as brown or black to create a mottled naked neck, as there doesn't seem to be any around here that are mottled. Interested to see what you would have too do. Thanks.

    Conccidiosis with Chicks

Hi, I just brought two chicks home. The breeders said they were two weeks old, but they look older. They weren't vaccinated, but they put ACV in their water. On the way I home I noticed a few of one of their poos where a redish colour. I didn't think that was too much of a problem at the time...

Hi, I have three chickens, and at the moment I have the nesting box level with the coup floor. They are not laying yet, but they're also not sleeping in the nest box. The coup is about 50 centimetres off the ground. Should I put the nest boxes up a bit, or is this not necessary? Thanks! :)

When should I start to feed layers feed?

Hi, just wondering when everyone starts feeding layers feed first? I have done some research and people have said to feed it in between 16 - 18 weeks, or the first egg. I was going to feed it from the first egg, but is this a good idea? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
