    Feeding rooster and hens

Hi all!!!! I have a rooster and 3 hens. It hit me the other day that my Rooster probably shouldn’t be eating layer food as it’s not designed for him. I was correct but now I’m stuck. What can I feed them all? They live in the same large coop/run and all eat freely. What can I feed them...

    Red maple

I’ve just read that red maples are poisonous to chickens but I can’t find why. There is a maple tree near my coop that will eventually be tall and somewhat over the run area. I’m just trying to get info on what they can’t eat of the maple and why. Thanks!!!

    Toys

My (4) 6 week old chicks have refused any enrichment we’ve tried! They don’t even like the mirror! They huddle in whatever corner is furthest away from whatever we try to give them. Even last night, we put their bigger hanging feeder in to get them used to it (we are moving them to their big...

    Lavender Orp sex

My 5.5 week old Orpingtons are changing so quickly even though they are a slow maturing breed. I have some questions on the sex of one. She’s showing signs that make me question she may be a roo instead! I’ll post pics of them all. Opinions please.
